日本に関連するメディア・コンテンツ (たとえば漫画、アニメ、映画、ゲーム、テレビ／ラジオ／インターネット番組、小説、雑誌、書籍、教材、広告／広報など) を対象としながら、現代社会の (日本に限らない) アクチュアルな課題に取り組むキャリア初期－中堅の研究者が対象です。教育・校務等負担の少ない、研究中心のポジションです (5年テニュアトラック)。日本語・英語双方での研究能力必須。2026年1月31日締切です。

Associate/assistant professor for “Media and Society” Japanese Studies Project at Tohoku University
Tohoku University, Graduate School of Arts and Letters (Media and Society Japanese Studies Research Project) is seeking an early- or mid-career researcher of Japanese-related media contents (e.g., manga, anime, films, games, TV/radio/internet programs, novels, magazines, books, educational materials, advertisements) with a focus on actual social issues in contemporary societies, not limited to Japan. Research-focused five-year tenure track position (associate/assistant professor) with minimum teaching/administrative burden. Fluency in both English and Japanese is required.
